Dynamic Dashboards

When we think of reports we can sometimes think of big static spreadsheets of month-end data, and whilst these have their place, this kind of reporting can leave companies exposed to regular fixed reports that prevent drill-down or deeper analysis of the data.

Often we see the requirement to provide clients with a more deeper look that empowers decision makers with the right tools to bend, flip and analyse their company data in real-time.

For this requirement we looked at providing a platform that allows both Team Leaders and 3rd Party Clients or Suppliers to review KPI Data using a more Dynamic approach.

This gave rise to Dynamic Dashboards that we could supply via the Cloud to help our Clients get to grasp with analysing their data and meet the following key requirements:

  • Much more sophisticated reporting then the in-CRM Charts and Dashboards available in Dynamics
  • Available to both Internal CRM Users and External Clients and Suppliers
  • Responsive to work in any device
  • Easy to use for Trend Analysis and Drill-down


Customisable Sales and Stock Reporting within Dynamics

Technology-wise, we took our existing Portal Framework and integrated AmCharts alongside DataTables and Bootstrap to build a responsive Dashboard Platform that could be delivered over the Cloud and be accessible on any Device.


Mobile Reporting to show Portfolio Performance to Clients

Behind the scenes, we ensure that a Single-Page-Application Model is used so that different Dashboards can be easily configured as Tabs that can be made available to CRM Users or Portal Users based on their Security Level.


Accessing a Map-based Dashboard via a Customer-facing Portal 

This approach is smaller and simpler than say a true big-data product such as Qlikview, but provides a more interactive and engaging experience over SQL Reporting Services.  Both of these tools (and other reporting technologies such as Power BI) have their place but Dynamic Dashboards gives us a powerful tool that can be easily shared and distributed.
