Dynamics 365 and the Adobe Marketing Cloud

imageIt is becoming increasingly well known that Dynamics 365 will be shaking up the world of CRM with the introduction of a truly Cloud CRM based approach.

Cloud CRM means knitting or integrating a solution from many different cloud components, each working over the web to contribute to the overall solution.

Microsoft are continuing to embrace this model by looking to bring the Adobe Marketing Cloud into the Dynamics CRM fold for Dynamics 365.

This will enable Dynamics CRM users to power their Marketing from CRM through the Adobe Marketing Cloud functionality to reach their Customers.

What does this mean for Dynamics CRM?

Time will tell when we see the detail – but historically Marketing has been a little weak in Dynamics CRM compared to its excellent Sales, Service and Xrm Modules.

The Campaign, Campaign Activity and Quick Campaign functionality was great as a baseline toolkit, but really needed an Exact Target, Mailchimp or ClickDimensions to put this toolkit into more practical use.

Hopefully integrating the existing suite of Adobe Tools will start to provide this functionality for a better Marketing Experience.

Similar to Parature and other added functionality enhancements for CRM – this will be available to Enterprise Users of Dynamics CRM through Dynamics 365 towards the end of the year.

On the other side of the Partnership, Adobe will be looking to make Microsoft Azure their preferred Cloud Platform for the Adobe Marketing Cloud, Document Cloud and Creative Cloud.
