PowerApps Tutorial: How to Create Custom List Forms | IncWorx

This Power Apps Portal Hub features focused & technical articles on the functionality offered by Power Apps Portals – Introducing what it can offer, and to help you get the best from your suite.

What Is A Power Apps Portal?

After the launch of Power Apps Portals on 1st October 2019, Dynamics 365 Portals are now called Power Apps Portals. PowerApps Portals offer you the ability to build low-code, responsive websites that allow you to create a powerful new type of experience letting external facing websites grant users outside your organisation to sign in with a wide variety of identities, and then interact directly with your data in the Microsoft Dataverse.

PS. The Microsoft Dataverse is just the renamed ‘Common Data Service’ – this is where you store and manage data to use with your business apps. Many of the Power Platform features such as Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Power Virtual Agents, AI Builder can interact with Dataverse directly or through built-in connectors.

Further, you will be able to create a new App type referred to as ‘Portal’ directly from Power Apps. The full capabilities of Dynamics 365 Portals used to only be available as an add-on to customer engagement apps (i.e. Dynamics 365 Marketing) but are now readily available to get standalone through Power Apps.
